Welcome to the Metro Atlanta Community Mikvah (MACoM) art exhibition, Reflections: The Art of Flora Rosefsky. Like so many galleries, museums, and art centers around the world that have closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ability to see art in person has hit an unprecedented pause. Instead of shuttering my exhibition totally, this virtual tour provides an opportunity to see my work along with my commentary. Before the gallery temporarily closed in mid-March 2020, one visitor told me how much he appreciated seeing so much joyful work of our Jewish heritage all at once.
Thank you to MACoM for creating a space for art in their new building where visitors can appreciate an art exhibition and perhaps start a conversation about its meanings. To Jocelyn Schorvitz, MACoM executive director, thank you for your support. A grateful shout out to my grandson, Will Cohen, a 2020 graduate of Syracuse University’s School of Visual Arts with a Transmedia and Film degree, who produced this virtual exhibition for a technically challenged grandmother.
Enjoy the show!
